Make a document inventory
List the items the institution requests, who issues them and whether they are ready. Academic records may include certificates and transcripts, while some programmes ask for additional materials such as a portfolio or statement. Do not assume every programme uses the same checklist.
Check names, dates and readability
Compare your name across records. Ask the institution how to explain a difference rather than editing an official document. Scan complete pages, including relevant stamps and grading explanations. Keep an untouched copy of each original and use clear file names.
Handle translations and pending results
Check whether a translation or certification is required and who is allowed to provide it. If you are still studying or awaiting final results, ask which provisional evidence is acceptable and when final documents must follow. Do not present an expected result as a final one.
Protect your information
Send documents only through a verified institution channel or another agreed secure process. Avoid public sharing links. The Overseas Sync assessment does not accept document uploads; provide a summary of your qualifications instead.
Your checklist
- Use the checklist for the exact programme and intake.
- Check every page is complete and legible.
- Label expected results accurately.
- Confirm file formats, limits and submission deadlines.
